Ford Prefect, whose name was mistakenly chosen for its blend-in-with-the-humans factor, is a roving researcher for this very guidebook. A Betelgeusian by chance and a hitchhiker by choice, Ford has made hopping across galaxies more of a lifestyle than a mode of travel. His knack for sipping at the oddest of local beverages and diving into the heart of galactic troubles has made him quite the interstellar nomad you'll ever fail to meet, unless you happen to be an ape-descendant from an insignificant blue-green planet orbiting a small unregarded yellow sun.

    Travel Advice

If you chance upon Ford Prefect, do not, under any circumstances, allow him to buy you a Pangalactic Gargle Blaster. It's for the safety of your sanity (and your sinuses).

    Where to Find

Ford can occasionally be found hitchhiking the starways near the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy. More often, his whereabouts are as predictable as a quantum state particle in zero gravity.

    What to Avoid

Avoid expressing disbelief in the existence of extraterrestrials or mistaking his Electronic Thumb for a quirky new-age fashion accessory. Both are likely to get you inadvertently whisked away to the nearest black hole for educative purposes.

    Fun Fact

Ford Prefect was once voted 'Most Likely to be Misplaced in Time and Space' by his graduating class at the Betelgeuse Five Collapsing Star Party School. He wore the title with pride, and now occasionally with a weird hat he found in a temporal anomaly.

    phpinfophptxt

The phpinfophptxt is a peculiar specimen of cosmic data confusion, often encountered by intergalactic webmasters when they inadvertently leave their digital offspring - a .php file - in a compromising position with a .txt file. The result is a Frankensteinian mashup that whimsically displays server secrets when it's not busy being an unreadable text blunder.

    infophpback

Infophpback, not to be confused with a rare galactic disease that causes information to painfully spew out of one's backside, is a curious phenomenon native to the technologically overladen planet of Devtopia. In a civilization so advanced, the inhabitants evolved to communicate exclusively through programming code, the infophpback is the unintended side effect of gossip among the code-wielding intelligentsia. Rather than spreading rumors at the watercooler, Devtopians inadvertently compile and execute PHP scripts that disseminate the latest juicy tidbits across the planetary intranet in microseconds.
